  • Is Island Trek Fitness the right fit for me?
Our guests have to be over age 18, and be motivated and ready for lasting change. It is best for folks who thrive in a small group setting, as we will have maximum of 12 guests. We are a structured program with a set schedule of activities but you can always choose to sit an activity out. Our program is designed for beginners in physical fitness levels but our staff can support you with modifications of pace on hikes, or workout intensities.
  • What are the rates?
All inclusive week rate is $4600 plus taxes and fees. A nonrefundable deposit of $1500 is due at time of booking, and the remaining balance will be charged two months prior to arrival. If you book within two months of start of retreat, the full amount is due. We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance in case you have to cancel your trip.
  • What airport do I fly into and how do I get there?
Fly into SeaTac airport and we can arrange a shuttle direct from the airport to Whidbey. You can find your own ride or drive, but once you arrive at retreat house, you do not need transportation during the duration of the retreat week. If you have any questions about directions or transportation, please call us and we will be happy to help.
  • Can we come as a couple?
Yes, couples are welcome! Guests can share a room or select to have individual rooms, same rate.
  • What kind of food will be served? Can you accomodate food restrictions?
Local chefs will prepare nutritious and calorie counted meals for your stay throughout the week using organic, locally sourced and sustainable fresh ingredients. Our chefs can accommodate food restrictions- just let us know before arrival and we can make adjustments to your meals.
  • What are the hikes and terrain like?
We will take you on different hikes each day and they vary a little in intensity and terrain. Most will be on well trodden paths, but there will be unvevn surfaces, rocks, and gravel. If it rains, leaves and roots may make it slippery. A sturdy and high quality hiking boot is essential. We will be in the Puget sound islands so the elevation gain will not be high. Most hikes will have 200-1000 ft elevation gain. When we are walking on flatter paths, we will pick up the pace to maintain a nordic type cardiovascular workout.
  • Is there Wifi?
There is Wifi at the Langley Retreat although it can be spotty at times. Most cell providers have coverage in the Langley area. But use this opportunity to do some digital detoxification!
  • How can I do my laundry?
Don't worry about bringing lots of clothes- We can do laundry throughout the week as needed.
  • What if I do not want to lose weight?
We welcome guests who do not want to lose weight - Just let us know, and we will provide larger portions and snacks to help prevent weight loss.
